Can Black people do Bronze Spray Tans?

hi , im african american and a little bit of indian , so my complection is kind of ..:::[like]:::.. a copper color , but ilike th glow tht bronze gives you and i would like to know if i could get it all over , and if so where ? or where can i buy the spray machine . (not a little can of spray please)Can Black people do Bronze Spray Tans?
hey, yeah i'm indian and i wanted to try a spray tan just to get an all over glow...because it's way better than lying out in the sun or going on a tanning bed...i think it should be fine i mean it's a tan colour it's not like you're going to get lighter or even that darker because you're already tan.....buying a spray machine might be expensive, it's probably hard to do it evenly on your whole body just go to a tanning salon and do it there, you just stand in the booth and it sprays all over

good luck :)

Do spray on tans make you look orange?

I was thinking of getting a spray on tan since its winter but im scared it will make me look orange instead of tan? Has anybody ever done this and if so what were your resultsDo spray on tans make you look orange?
Spray tans vary. I would recommend going to a professional and they will not make you look orange unless you tell them to make you look that color. Remember when getting a tan go as natural as possible.Do spray on tans make you look orange?
they do sometimes make u orange
professional spray tans are a great idea for a formal or something..

but dont go to dark if you have fair skin because then you will go orange!

i got one a few days ago (my yr 10 formal was yesterday) and it turned out really well

brilliantly hid my t-shirt tan

but it really depends on your skin type with how dark you go.. but the person who works at the tanning place should tell you all about that stuff

good luck x
on some people yes, it depends on your skin tone and pigmentation
Hi,It depends on which brand, but I recently had an awful experience with spray on tan. I accidentally sprayed unevenly (it's easy to do) and I looked really awful and it didn't come of for two weeks! It does look orange on a fair percentage of people. If I was you, I wouldn't, its not worth it!

But really it depends on your skin type.

It would probably be best to get it done professionally as it usually turns out well.

Go with a Natural color so you can't tell it's too fake.

Also, Tan moisturizers are better than spray-ons as they are easy and look more level. For a good result, use Johnson's Holiday Skin body lotion.

Good luck!

Hope this has helped!

What looks better on the FACE. Sunless spray tanner or Sunless lotion tanner?

go with the lotion.

the spray can get blotchy and you can so tell its fake. just make sure you don't miss a spot with the lotion.

try Banana Boat EveryDay Glow SunDail Self-Tanning Lotion, Face - 6.7 Oz available at http://www.americarx.com/Products/22426.鈥?/a>

i would say lotion, you can controll it better

Are professional spray tans real looking?

Or are they really orange and fake looking,...Are professional spray tans real looking?
ORANGE.. they are all orange .. I dont understand why women think orange is cute .. it really doesnt look that great at all and everyone knows it FAKEAre professional spray tans real looking?
mystic tans are pretty natural looking not orange at all
DO NOT GET PROFESSIONAL SPRAY TANS... girls who get those are orange and fake wanna be barbies... be yourself , be natural, be you........ if anything get a real tan just by sitting out in the sun.. WEAR SUNSCREEN... its not worth it to get tan if your going to die by getting skin cancer... plus girls who look all fake are sooo unattractive!!!!!
No they make your skin look a yucky orangy color if you want a rel looking tan just go outside and put a little bit of baby oil on your skin and go tan if you start getting red go inside cuz if you leave it it will burn.

  • What is the best spray on self tanner to get? Ive tried this lotion but it leaves me orange.?

sevyn nine tanning mist is the BEST i swear i use it all the time i bought it at sephora and it works amazing it smells good too and doesnt smear or make you orange. What is the best spray on self tanner to get? Ive tried this lotion but it leaves me orange.?
Depends on each person, some people like certain brands or kinds. I like the L'Oreal mousse only because the spray would make a mess. The towelettes are great for a quick tan but the smell is that dirty tanning lotion smell.

I'm currently using Ocean Potions Everglow lotion, it's got a creamsicle smell at first but it goes away and you don't smell ';dirty'; later. Take a while for the color to come up, but it's worth not smelling weird.

Try Makeupalley or TotalBeauty for good reviews on any and all beauty things! What is the best spray on self tanner to get? Ive tried this lotion but it leaves me orange.?
neutrogena wipes u just use them like wet wipes and wipe your skin you never get orange i use them all the time their the best it builds your tan their great
    dont spary tan

it builds up a healthy tan

    its in all the magazins

and you can buy it at anydrug store
dont all guys notice a fake tan and its gross but its okay as long as u dont over do it just start oiling up and sitting outside and get some sun everyday

    Do spray tans really work?

I am in a wedding june 30th and i wanted to get a spray tan but i need to know how long they last so i know when to go get one and i dont want to be all orange and blogy and i want it to be even.Do spray tans really work?
snap! im being bridesmaid on the 5th august. spray tans are my saviour. they work, but make sure you go to a good salon... otherwise you may turn out like a tangerine.

they last for about a week or so, they gradually fade.

im still debating on whether to go to a sunbed instead, but i think spray tans are the best.

good luck xDo spray tans really work?
I have never gotten a spray tan, and I never will. I've seen my friends and cousins do it, and that's what made me decide never to do it. Talk about turning orange, you'll be the brightest orange thing you've ever seen in your life, except for the white spots and streaks you'll have everywhere. It looks so gross. Your best bet? A tanning lotion, like Jergens Natural Glow, that one doesn't turn you orange at all. You actually look tan, and you decide how much to put on, when to stop putting it on, if you want to go darker, of if you're happy with the color you get after about 3 applications. It dries quick, no streaking, and you look tan, not orange. You control the color. Way better than being sprayed, having spots and streaks, and being bright orange and not being able to do anything to correct it.
I've gotten spray on tans before just for special occasions like weddings and parties and stuff like that. If your wedding in on June 30th I suggest getting your spray-on on June 29th. I always have a close friend go in with me that way when I get out she can make sure I don't have any dark spots or streaks or anything bad like that. After you get it done make sure you don't get wet (don't take a shower, don't sweat, don't get rained on) for at least 4 hours. You will streak for sure if you get wet. Hope I could help.
Spray on are ok last a few days to a week.

Best to do two three days before hand. Also do it before hand to see if you like it.

Find a good place and follow allALL directions.

I prefer sunless glow - neutrogena or soemthing. You can build a tan by putting lotion on everyday! no streaks and its like $6
My advice, is don't do it. Every spray tan I have ever seen (and had) have not looked good at all. The machine method is a sure fire way to look orange and blotchy. I actually got my artificial tan applied by a professional but the next morning there was blotchiness along my wrists, ankles, and armpits. June 30th is a long way from now. I reccomend actually tanning outside or tanning in a tanning bed. That way the tan is real and looks even and not orange. Good Luck
Yes they are actually rpvoen to work I think. I know sunless tna wokers. In a teen peole magaine article, it showed a picture of a girl with sunless tanner. Her skin was lighter and then she sprayed it and her skin was darker.

Good spray tanning places in/around Burien WA?

It's spring break and I want to go back to school looking tan.

I want somewhere where the tan will last but it isn't too expensive.

    Any where around Burien/Seattle works.

Haha I live in Washington too (:

I really like Desert Sun and Pink Coconut

I know there are some in Seattle, not sure about Burien though

Whats your opinion on spray tanning?

im considering trying it. i used to tan a lot, but dont want premature aging.Whats your opinion on spray tanning?
I'd say your probably going to be disappointed your first time cuz its hard to get it even.. and dont get too high of a setting you'll just look orangeWhats your opinion on spray tanning?
Why is everyone so obsesses with changing their skin colour through tanning and spray tans? You should be proud of the skin colour you have.
Ew dont tan...you will look gross.
    Its fake and trashy =)
    it's fake..

but if you can pull if off, go for it.
As long as its not orange and streaky and it looks natural it's fine.
Get a quaility one. Cheap ones will streak, be orange, and uneven. Also when it's time for them to fade away they won't fade evenly. It'll obviously cost more but I'd rather pay more to look good than pay a little less and have a streaky, orange face.

Does neutrogena sunless tanning spray work?

Im tierd of my pale skin.I NEED A TAN. not a dark orange one just a light one. Does that Neutrogena micro mist spay work..I dont have time for tanning beds....Does neutrogena sunless tanning spray work?
    It can get kinda blotchy.

Do girls care if a guy spray tans?

Just wondering, going to the beach %26amp; i'm like a type II fair skin. I tan a little, but it takes a ton of sun. I've already had to get some 'suspicious' sun spots cut off, so I pretty much keep away from the sun worshiping these days. Also, I don't want to look like a leather face when I get older.

So, is it ok for a guy to spray tan? I'm fit, cut, but I'm sure I look like an eye sore on the beach, being so pale. lol.Do girls care if a guy spray tans?
Um, in my opinion, I don't think anyone looks good in spary tans, they often look orange on people, but some people like that look. I've seen people put on lotion that gives a tan hue to their skin and it looks more natural.

    Just my opinion

  • Can i use calypso sun care Deep tanning oil spray on a sun bed?

They say not to use any lotion that is not bought at the salon. They don't know the effects. Your best bet is to front some extra money and buy one of their lotions. They work really well and they have a lot with bronzers that make your skin dark quickly.

sure, if you want to spray harmful chemicals onto your body just to make yourself look better, go right on ahead.

instead, you might wanna try a tanning lotion. (they make them for guys too) it doesn't matter if you're a guy or girl.
Nothing wrong with being pale :)

I want to know about spray tans?

I'm thinking about doing it before a wedding.

1 does it rub off easy?

2 how long does it last

3 what are pre tanning tips to keep it longer

4 does it get really uneven like self tanners ( i know it's a self tanner but different)

    5 anything other tips?

thanksI want to know about spray tans?
i got a spray tan for my formal last year...they are great!!

as long as you leave it to dry properly before putting your clothes on it doesn't rub off

mine lasted just over a week to make it last i moisturised everyday

if its done by a professional it shouldn't be uneven

make sure you exfoliate well the day before you get your tan and if it is one of the ones you need to wash off after a few hours make sure yo leave it for the right amount of time so it develops properly

also wear baggy dark coloured clothes and flip flops to the salon and i would recommend wearing your own bikini bottoms as the paper pants you get given don't leave much to the imagination lol

hope this helpsI want to know about spray tans?
One tip, don't forget to do your feet if you do your legs. I mean have youy seen those pics of Lindsay Lohan it's so effed up. :P

Do the spray tans really work?

i just bleached my hair blonde and even tho its comming winter i wanna have the tan to go along with it- can anyone tell me if the spray tan works or where i can buy some do it yourself tanning products? thanks-Do the spray tans really work?
I did the Mystic Tan a bunch of times. Honestly, it depends on how tan you are naturally. I am quite pale, and it looked fake on me, even the lowest level. It's passable for 1 day or 2 maximum, but what's bad is when it starts to fade. It's all blotchy and gross, and it stains your clothes (be fearful of anything white). If you work out (I do, a lot) and you sweat, it runs brown streaks....eww. And the worst was my hands/fingers/feet/toes. Disgusting. I looked dirty.

On the flip side, if you are already tanned, it would only be subtle and not too drastic or noticable. A friend had better luck having a person (as opposed to a machine - Mystic Tan is a giant spraying booth) spray it on her manually. It comes out more even, but again, depends on how big of a color change you will be going for.

My advice, and it took me a long time to get there, is to accept your natural color. I do now, and I'm happy.

Question about spray tans and makeup?

I am considering getting a spray tan for my wedding, but i was just curious about doing my makeup for the big day with a spray tan on, will i need to get a different shade of foundation, will i need foundation or what, i can not afford to have a professional do my makeup anyone with info would be helpflQuestion about spray tans and makeup?
More than likely you will need a different color of foundation. Your skin will get darker by 2-3 shades. And yes, if you are taking photographs, you definitely need to wear a foundation so you look perfect for your special day!

Are there any department stores around you? Almost every department store offers complimentary makeovers (Definitely Nordstrom and Sephora), or other stores (Dillards, Macys) will do a makeover with a $50 purchase. Why don't you call one of those stores and make an appt for the day of your wedding? If you go to a reputable line (Bobbi Brown, Laura Mercier, Chanel etc), you will get a natural, pretty wedding day look, and they will have the right colors for you as well. I strongly encourage you to have someone else do your wedding day makeup if at all possible. You will have these pictures forever, and you want them to be as flawless as possible.

If you are uncomfortable with that option, maybe just make a stop into a Sephora a few days before the wedding and ask for some tips. They will give you some foundation samples in a darker shade as well if you ask them.

  • Does L'oreal Paris Sublime Bronze Self Tanning Spray Work?

I tried Lancome flash bronzer airbrush and it was really orange and streaky...I don't want it to be streaky anymoreDoes L'oreal Paris Sublime Bronze Self Tanning Spray Work?
You just have to try them. Some work better on different people's skin. My mom gave me 6 different self-tanner she'd tried because none of them looked right on her. They looked fine on me!

I have been using the store brand of Jergens Natural Glow

Daily Moisturizer because the tan is very light and builds up each time you use it. Get the ';light to medium'; tone rather than dark.Does L'oreal Paris Sublime Bronze Self Tanning Spray Work?
Yes it works great!! i used it the other day and be careful when you use it because i sprayed it on the floor and walked on it by accident and the bottom of my feet is now tan!
I did't like it, it seemed to have an oily film that never dried. It streaked too. I would stick to lotions and gels, or even better, a mystic tan! :)
I got streaks from L'oreal too. Best bet so you don't get orange and streaky is to use a gradual tanning lotion...I use Dove, and I'm not streaky or orange! Good luck! =)
    it leaves streaks too

I use bannanna boat at wal mart it works great

Spray Tans - Do they develop over time, or should I be tanned straight away?

Just had a spray tan and it takes 6 hours to 'set'. Does this mean it will get darker over the 6 hours?

I had one 3 weeks ago which took 3 hours 'to set' and I was really dark when I walked out.

I'm now more tanned slightly, but nothing dramatic.Spray Tans - Do they develop over time, or should I be tanned straight away?
it probably means u shouldn`t shower or swim for 6 hours after getting the tan, or else u risk ';washing'; it away, as your skin hasn`t properly absorbed the spray...Spray Tans - Do they develop over time, or should I be tanned straight away?
Some spray-on products take longer than others. You should get the same, or at least similar, tan as before, just not as quickly.
You should be tanned right away, don't shower to quickly after the tan and they don't last long, it is like painting your body.

Is spray tanning a good idea?

i have this dance that everyone goes tanning for and stuff and right now i am using jergens, but it makes some parts of my body blotchy. and i was going to go tanning, but they say it causes cancer. do you think a spray tan is a bad idea/ are spray tans even good or do they make you look orange and blotchy? Is spray tanning a good idea?
Yes They're good. I've used the mystic spray tanning booths a couple times and it didnt make me look orange at all. The tan develops during time so when you first step out of the booth you cant tell the difference but after 12 hours you will have a perfect even tan. It costs about $20 and lasts for abut 7-10 daysIs spray tanning a good idea?
uh HELLO dont you want to be dark and BEAUTIFUL?! YES GET THAT TAN GIRL
You can tan at the salon in moderation and you will be fine. Spray tans still look off.
Stay away from the sun beds and look after your body! There are loads of great fake tans out these days, im sure there is something to suit your skin. Maybe get your fake tan done a day or two before your dance and then you get get rid of any patchy bits on elbows/knees etc.
Mystic tans are awesome, just make sure to exfoliate in the shower you take before you go. Buy a loofah sponge (or whatever it's called) and use it the morning before. And also, LISTEN to the directions very well, especially about the lotion stuff. And when you are wiping off the tan (after you get out of the booth) make sure to go from toes up. It will drip down and leave streaks on your legs after a certain time if you do not. Have fun!
spray tanning is good, but tanning beds are better !!
It's better than getting cancer (: I'd say get it, or they have the tanning lotions that you apply for a few days and it gives your skin a darker look, if that helps (:

NO!! Just stay out of the sun!! And why would any black person want to do that anyway?

Can you have eye makeup on while getting your face spray tanned?

Definitely a no no. When you are getting sprayed you want to really be natural and have nothing on your face. Even when tanning it's best not to have anything on your face. Can you have eye makeup on while getting your face spray tanned?
yea it would maybe blend just take it off.

  • How well does the mystic spray tanning work at tanning salons???

I liked it it did not leave you too orange looking. On the other hand there was this spot on my back I did not wipe off correctly and I had a dark orange spot there for a week. So it is safer than the beds but make sure you wipe off completely. How well does the mystic spray tanning work at tanning salons???
really good! and it lasts for a long time. they have different shades...medium or dark and some places will include a bronzer...which is nice for some people. How well does the mystic spray tanning work at tanning salons???
Very well. If you do go tanning then go first THEN get the spray on same day. It brings out the color more and pro-longs the tan. Good luck :)
it leaves you kinda orange and doesnt look natural. it also fades very quickly especially after you shower. i would just go in a regualr tanning bed 2 or 3 times a week to keep a good base. the fake is healthier i guess, but doesnt look natural and not worth the money. so it kinda defeats the whole purpose of what your trying to accomplish. i have owned a tanning salon for many years. and have the spray tan, but still, can honestly say that i hate it, and dont recommend it, unless you need it right away for a night out, or you really have something against an actual tanning bed. but, if you go to the beach or go outside, im sure you can handle 2 days in a tanning bed plus its probably cheaper than maintaining the spray tan. and it wont leave you as orange

How much do spray tans cost and how long do they last?

They are usually running sales and promotions to bring down the price per tan, but this usually requires you to be many tans. If you buy them individually, they are around $30 and last about a week. If you buy them in a package deal they can be as low as $15, but they usually make you buy 6 or more tans in a deal.

Professional spray on tans for men?

I have had enough of Australian winter and have been considering getting a tan, and have a few questions. Do guys get those spray on tans too or only women? Do women prefer men to not have any tan lines? Do spray on tan people do the ';whole body'; if you dont want tan lines. for the more intimate parts are there any particular customs or etiquette I should know about? Thanks a lotProfessional spray on tans for men?
Men spray on tans just like women do...gender doesn't play any part in the tone of your skin! I don't suggest using the spray on self-tanners that you buy in the drugstore though...it looks much better if you go to a tanning place and get professionally sprayed...Here are a few tips for getting the most out of your spray on tan...

Exfoliate your skin the night before you get it done...this ensures that a fresh layer of your skin is ready for the tanner...

Self tanners can look streaky or blotchy on certain areas of the body that aren't as hydrated like elbows, knees, toes, and fingers, so it's very important to be hydrated before using any self tanners...Consider applying a moisterizer the night before to these areas...

Also to make your tanner last, wait a day (or two) to take a shower afterwards...you can wash certain areas without showering with a wash cloth and warm water (not hot) for a couple of days...Professional spray on tans for men?
yes guys get them too...spray tans do the whole body you usually watch an ';instruction'; video first, put on a hair cover...no customs or ettiquette-- but in the booths at least--the spray is MORE than a little cold...;-)

I hate having hair on my legs and I don't want to shave them. I'd like to steer clear of waxing as well especially if it removes your tan. So that leaves me with veet cream. my sister uses the lotion and it looks amazing on her. i would go with a lotion because a mousse wouldn't last as long.
Lotion. And I hate St Tropez its so messy to apply.

Do spray tans make you look orange?

I'm very pale and thinking of getting one and i was wondering... Do they make you look orange and do they come off easy??Do spray tans make you look orange?
Only if you're extremely white and use one with a very dark shade. If you decide to do one, try one with multiple shades so that you can chose the lightest. The Mystic Tan comes in original and premium, original is lighter. After you get sprayed shower in about 4 hours and you won't be too dark. It will probably only last between 3-4 days though. The premium lasts between 5-7 days. If you moisturize often it will last a little longer.Do spray tans make you look orange?
No, the newer self tanners are awesome, if you're worried about it though get one that you can build gradually, that way if you think it's getting to orangey you can stop and let it fade a little. But honestly, I've never had this problem. Just be sure wash your hands during application a LOT, otherwise you will have orange palms.
this is so much easier, and you can get it at target ! :

just limit it to about two or three times a week, or you WILL be orange !
Well it depends on the product

    and how your using it

If you buy a proper product and apply it properly

then no you will not be orange

    no clue about removal
The only way to get a nice tan, is soaking up the sun.

    Sprays, beds, lotions.. look dumb.

    Save yourself the ridicule.
No. They have been given a bad rep. They didnt turn me or my friends orange at all when we got a mystic tan.
if you get a professional to do it then no

if you buy a bottle a smother it on yourself then you will look orange
    Some make you look orange

and it takes a quite a few washes to come off
they make you look like an oompa loompa.

I mean the one that lasts the longest(both), doesn't smudge or streak(both) and is under $10(tanner), and under $6(mascara).

And, also, if there's such thing, please name a water-sproof eye liner (brand).

As for eye liner, if you're going to go swimming, don't put eyeliner on the bottom, that could like ruin your eyes. Put it on the top, and use Revlon ColorStay. However, it's around $7.

  • Are ';at home'; spray tans bad for your skin?

they're chemical based and are not great for your skin because it absorbs into your blood stream plus they make you look orange and fake. I don't think they're any safer than UV rays. Anyone here use sunless tanning spray?

I need some tips I can't seem to be using it right? Lot of missed spots.Anyone here use sunless tanning spray?
    ok. ill run through everything

    1. prep. have a shower (short one, 5-15 minutes because you dont want your skin to soak up water) and exfoliate.

    2. shave or whatever now.

3.plan. where do you want to tan? do you want your underarms tanned? soles of your feet? these are all really important

    4. Start. make sure you do it in a well aired, cool place that isnt steamy or wet as you dont want to sweat. Start on your legs, or wherever you want to and wash your hands every 5 or 6 minutes, or after you've finished each segment of your body. Take more care to make sure its even than rubbed in properly

    5. wait.. 15 minutes standing up in front of a fan should do it

    6. after its developed, check for any missed places and apply it on these places again, so it will be even

    7. put on a pair of shorts, some flip-flops, a cute singlet and big designer sunnys, you've got a great fake tan

oh, and i use garnier ambre solaire, and it works reaaaally well

hope i helpedAnyone here use sunless tanning spray?
I have used it before, and Honey.....believe me you will never use it right.....That crap is not worth the money the are asking. Just talk $15 a month a go fake and bake...... Its still a fake tan, but that doesnt miss any spots......
I gave this advice to someone else before-- Don't go to a tanning salon because it's so dangerous and really bad for your skin ... it's speeds up the aging process. I use the Mary Kay Sunless Tanning Lotion. You just mix it with moisturizer and it goes on so smoothly. You don't turn orange and there's no streaking. It's so good.

You can order it at www.marykay.com/adina_k
I like the Jergen's stuff you use every day. The Neutrogena spray stuff is good too, but you will still miss spots on your back. I suggest using the Jergen's lotion, and have someone do your back for you.
I have used it once and never again. I used a cheap one and i came out with orange stripes and had to wear pants for weeks. I hear thought that some of the more expensive ones are very good, and I would try a spray one instead of a cream type an I hear they are better.
yeah..i have used it..but don't use the rub on kind because then ur hands become like orange...the spray on kind might work though
I use the sunkissed glow stuff because in the winter I get paler, and it's really weird because in the spring, summer, and fall I have this bright, light-brown complexion, and then in the winter it's like kind of less bright, and it's a paler light-brown. So, I use sunkissed and it kind of returns my natural glow. I hate fake bakes and things because you look orange.
I've used the tanning sprays and lotions. I hate them. They'll look good for a day or two and then you look like you have some weird disease or something cause it get's all blotchy.

I tried them one summer about 4 years ago and said never again. No matter how great they say the product is on tv or in a magazine. They are just trying to sell it....they don't care if it really works.

    How 'bout them spray-on tans?

';...The active ingredient in most sunless tanning products is dihydroxyacetone (DHA).

    When applied to your skin, DHA reacts with dead cells in the outermost layer of skin to temporarily darken the skin's appearance. The coloring doesn't wash off, but it gradually fades as the dead skin cells fall off. ';

Two weeks to get tan? Bed Vs. Spray?

I have a banquet in two weeks and I need to work on my farmer's tan a bit for the dress I'm wearing, can I get it a little more evened out, or at least it a little less drastic looking in two weeks? And if so, whats the best way to go about it.

    Tanning bed or Spray tan?

I'm terrified of looking a hideous orange shade, :/ Your opinions, experiences, advice? Two weeks to get tan? Bed Vs. Spray?
I would go with tanning spray because it's more healthy. Tanning bed is bad for your skin. Don't spray too much because you will start to look orange. You may spray a lot and not notice so ask for others opinons about your skin tone. Two weeks to get tan? Bed Vs. Spray?
okay so if you want to possible get skin cancer and don't mind when ever your 50 to have blotches on your face then do the tanning bed. BUT if you want something that will make you look tan without harming you GO WITH THE SPRAY TAN! listen, go to a professional, you won't look orange at all, dont go to one of those spraying things, actually go to a PROFESSIONAL and have them do it for you, it's way to difficult to do the other one. hope i helped!
the problem with the tanning bed is 2 weeks isn't alot of time. i went for 10 min. [the starting time so you don't burn] for 4 days, then went to 15 and got burnt, couldn't go for 3 days. so i couldn't get as tan as i wanted because i tried to increase the results, i also used lotion, i'd suggest the spray because tanning usually runs for a months time anyways.
i have a self tanner and it works great. looks sooo natural and defiantly not orange at all.I used to go to the tanning salon all the time but i got smart and i wear sun screen when i go out so i don't look all wrinkly and old in the future. plus i don't want skin cancer.. so defiantly get a spray tan! its fast easy looks great and its a lot healthier then going in a tanning bed. :)
depends on the person ive only been tanning (tanning bed) for about 2 weeks now and already acheived the tan i want now i just have to keep it up but for people with fair skin it might burn easier and take longer ...see what tanning does for you in the first week if u burn easy go with spray tan

  • Does anyone know a good fake tanning lotion or spray to use?

One that wont turn me orange, and last awhile that wont wash off after I take one shower? And does not cost an arm and a leg?Does anyone know a good fake tanning lotion or spray to use?
I am currently using the new lotion by Dove. It's called Energy Glow Daily Moisturizers with Subtle Tanners. It gradually builds a beautiful summer glow. It is $6.64 for a 8.5 oz bottle, and it lasts awhile. I have used it numerous of times, and I just now bought another bottle.

I would recommend that if you do this, to exfoliate your body where you are going to put this lotion. That way you won't get the orangy buildup like with other subtle tanners. Good Luck!Does anyone know a good fake tanning lotion or spray to use?
Minwax has a number of wood stains you can use. These come in several colors and should last through several showerings.
jergens natural glow is my new tanning lotion. before i used neutrogena tanning foam which is pretty good to, but jergens lotion is an everyday lotion so you're always tan!

Ha. I was taking too many vitamins and my hands turned nuclear melt-down orange, so those tanning things aren't the only things that can make you turn orange!!!

Good luck.';the only way you can turn orange is if you dont prepare properly'; = spray tanning.?
I spray tan all the time and dont really turn orange. If im really really white and try to go too dark, then it looks kinda strange. It will photograph orange even though it doesnt look that way in real life so if your tanning for your wedding, or somthing that would be important to have great photographs of I wouldnt reccoment it.
It depends on what product you're using. Some do turn very fair complected people an orange color. Prepping for a spray tan is pretty much showering and using a good body scrub and loofah(sp?). Do not use any moisturizer after showering. It can remove the spray tan. After that, you're pretty much ready to be spray tanned.

Don't get one, it'll turn you orange. But if you really want to know, probably around 20-45-50 dollars depending on where you go.How much are spray tans?

yes its perfectly fine and wont harm baby at all.

although your skin may react differently to it because of all the hormones. other than that go pamper yourself :-)
No because some of it can dissolve into your skin and hurt the baby.

I want to go spray tanning before my prom?

how much is it? how many times should i go to get a really good base? how many days before prom so i dont look bad? HELP MEI want to go spray tanning before my prom?
dont do the spray!! you can tell its fake.. do a tanning bed or some sort.I want to go spray tanning before my prom?
Spray tans are the way to go. You only need to go once to get the look you want.

Don't go to a bed. Tan skin is dead skin.

When I got the spray tan for my wedding, I went on Thursday night for my Saturday night wedding. Your skin might be different, though, so you should try it out beforehand. Go some time and see how many days later it looks just the way you want. The place you go to might have different shades so you might want to try those out, too.

When I did it, it cost less than $30 for one spray.

    okay a few questions...

can u tell the dif between spray tan and tanning bed tan??

thanksHas anyone ever done 'spray tanning' i have some ? and need some tips **10pts**?
I tell my clients to NOT go into a pool after they get spray tanned, because the chlorine will take it off in about 20min. the only orange and streaky spray tans that I have seen are the one that people get when they go into a booth. I use a hand held spray gun and custom blend the colors so they do not get too high percentage of DHA for their skin type. The result is a natural looking tan that is not orange or streaky. I own a full service tanning salon and i really can not tell the difference between a tanning bed tan and a spray tanHas anyone ever done 'spray tanning' i have some ? and need some tips **10pts**?
My friend has gotten one of those.

    It looked great at first.

It looked just like a regular tan to me!

Very brown not streaky or orange at all!

But as it faded in about a week or 2, that's when it started to look streaky and orange.

I would get the spray tan a day or too before you go to White Water.

TIPS: pay close attention to the video they show you before you step into the spray tanning booth. Another, tip would be too exfoliate your whole entire body extremely well before you get the spray tan. Exfoliating will help remove the dead layer of skin so that your spray tan will last longer. Another tip would be to NOT exfoliate while you have the spray tan or else you will rub it off.
I would get your spray tan as close to when you go on vacation. It should not streak (I would advise you use a technician applied tan, as this will give you a more natural looking tan). Your tan will last anywhere from 7-10 days given your skin tone and daily regiment. If the spray tan is done right you can not tell the difference, that is why I would advise you to go to a hand applied place.

You can visit my website for more info www.air-tan.com even though you don't live here many of the same rules apply.
I never got a professional spray tan, but I used tanning beds and after the confirmed news by the WHO that it definitely causes skin cancer, I'm all about a tan in a bottle. Spray tans look natural if they're applied correctly and evenly. Try Loreal, it retails for $10 at Rite Aid. I love it and I used tanning beds for 4 years. It really does work, also try Fake Bake's self tanning line, which is a bit more pricey.

spray tans are WAY better than tanning beds because of the UV rays, i've never gotten one in a salon but i know people that get them and it looks natural.. if you don't have time to go to the salon just buy sally hansen airbrush stuff at walgreens or jergens natural glow but that takes 4-7 days depending on which one you buy !

Usually the tan spray is in a spray bottle.\

Yes you usually have to wear a bikini and they spray you with the tanning spray.

    I would guess 2 weeks

Which lasts longer: The Spray on tans or the tanning lotions?

I have been reading various questions regarding tanning. I wanted to know if the spray on tans (Mystic Tan) or the Tanning lotions that you buy from the stores (Jergens) lasts longer? And with the tanning lotions... how can you guarantee that your full body gets covered?

Any tanning recommendations?Which lasts longer: The Spray on tans or the tanning lotions?
I've tried everything! The lotions...you'll never be able to get a natural look cuz its so hard to spread it on evenly, when it dries and color starts to show, you'll see darker streaks and spots you missed that you thought you had covered. I've tried many brands! With those, you also gotta put it on at least every other day to keep it up. The Mystic tan although is costs $25-$30, it sprays evenly with a more natural tan color, the only downfall i had with it, is that its difficult so get it streakless on your feet and sometimes hands, you gotta use this lotion that prevents the tan from getting into cracks of your nails and heels and stuff. It'll last a week-week and a half.

I prefer the tanning bed, depending on your skin and how well you can tan, it may take awhile to get a tan, but once you got it, you only got to keep it up by going back once a week. I have fair skin and went about 7 times and got slight sunburns or no distinct color change until i finally started getting tan after that and now, no burn and i'll get darker everytime i go, if i go frequently.Which lasts longer: The Spray on tans or the tanning lotions?
    Both are nasty, nasty, nasty!

I got a thumbs down but it's still GROSS! Yucky yuck yuck yuck! blaaaaaaaaaaaah
I guess you have to be carefull when you apply the lotion or spray so that you can cover the area you want tanned. I would also believe the lotion is better, but i havent used either of them.
spray tan.. it looks better because it goes on evenly..

    the lotions also look orange..
The lotions last longer but the spray on's look more natural and don't look orange like the lotions can. If you want a good foe tan, so to a tanning salon and treat yourself to a professional spray on tan, it will look the best and last up to 2 weeks.
    the sun
Sprays look natural and are not harmful.

Would you take a medicine that has severe side affects: causing cancer and premature aging? If you answer NO, then you should stay away from harmful sun damage as well as harmful effects of tanning beds.

Well, really - no matter what your answer - use sun and tanning beds with extreme caution. Skin cancer kills, and it kills fast.
well lotion tans can last forever if you continue using them like every other day, but as soon as you stop using the tanning lotion, about three-four days later, the tan starts going away and it takes away any tan that you built on top of the tanning lotion....I stopped using it for that reason. Now I just have a perfect natural tan!
theyre both orange. if u want to get tan, go outside. it's not bad. even for a few minutes each day. it'll build up a tan thats really beautiful by the end of the summer!!!
mystic tan is better because it goes on your skin evenly, lasts longer, and doesn't make you look orange like the lotions. Granted, mystic tan is a little pricey but worth the investment if that's what you want is tan skin without the hazardous skin risks. Good luck :)
The sun will last the longest of course and you can also use the tanning bed. You dont need use any of there products. It just there way of making more money. There lotions really just make you burn quickly and you really dont get a color, well it takes longer for you to get a color. After you get out of the tanning bed, yes you should put on some good lotion thats better quality with a resonable price because you don't want dry skin but there is no point using it before tanning. About those spray on tanning. All i can say is if you want to look like a carrot then go for it and no it doesn't last long at all. I wouldnt waist my money on it.
Tanning lotions, but only if you apply them regularly. The spray on tan only usually only lasts a couple days. It is a quick tan. Tanning lotions are a slower tan and you have to reappy the lotion on a normal basis to keep the tan.

Ladies, do those spray tans in salons look good or does it look really fake?

i want to be healthy tan looking but I do not want to lay out in the sun. I wanted to know if I should get a spray tan in a salon but im worried it will look bad when it begins to fade....Ladies, do those spray tans in salons look good or does it look really fake?
Unfortunately it does not look very good. I saw a woman the other day and her skin looked orange. She was otherwise attractive.

I hope the technology or technique improves with time. Tanning booths and laying in the sun for the purposes of tanning is unhealthy.

I work in health care and I see the effects of long term damage caused by the sun. It is accumulative over a life time and it is a sad sight to see.Ladies, do those spray tans in salons look good or does it look really fake?
    I'd like to know too...
I think they look awful and orange.

Maybe if you were willing to pay a really upscale salon it may turn out well?
alright here is the scoop. the more expensive it is chance are the better it looks. but you really need to research were you want to go before you get you ';tan';. seriously., sometimes it can look REALLY bad.
i would also like to know...lots of people get them..i think it would look ok as long as u werent TOO dark like some people get..

I have heard a lot of people say they like the tanning lotions that give you a tan gradually...im not sure which ones work the best

and ya know what....i would rather be pale than to have skin cancer so good for you for not wantin to go bake yourself in the sun
I think it looks preatty fake.
My advice is just don't get a spray tan because it looks bad when it starts to fade. I would personally just go to a tanning bed.
It looks tacky, really fake. Especially when it starts to fade. I would suggest going to a tanning bed.
It looks good until it starts to wear off then it just makes you look dirty. I hated it and would not recommend it.
Its so tacky because you can tell if its fake or not!!!
Spray tans have come a long way, and provided you keep your skin moisturised it will look very natural and make you look much healthier.
it looks fake, this popular girl got a fake tan and EVERYONE made fun of her.

remember, beauty should come from nature, not from a can!
It can look natural - it just depends on what level you get. It does tend to fade fairly fast and it will make your skin itch. Personally, I didn't like it too much - too much maintenance and too much of a waste of money. Plus I tend to tan fairly easily, so I stick with nature's method.
they are quick..but tanning looks more natural and lasts longer
It really depends on the person. A person with platinum blonde hair and blue eyes will never look good with a dark tan. however if you are more exotic looking it may look good on you. Mystic tanning doesnt leave the orangey look but one down side is that if you sweat it will start to drip off of you. I once went to six flags over georgia with my bf and we went on one of the water rides and the water made drip marks on my legs from the fake tan! so embarassing
Well I took my friend to get one %26amp; well she thought it looked great but she looked pretty dang orange to me. I wouldn't do it. Use Jergans Natural Glow but a shade darker than you are it works great for me. Take a towel %26amp; rub your knees ankles %26amp; Elbows afterwards though or they will turn orange.

it looks fake. always get a real tan if u burn easy put tanning oil on but sprays always look fake.

thanks in advance=]Alright so i'm going spray tanning in a few hours and i have one question?
Hi! I had one of those tanning thing last summer and it doesn't really last. If you have a big chest, you may have to adjust them to get an even tan.

Enjoy it while it last!Alright so i'm going spray tanning in a few hours and i have one question?
I don't know because I have small boobs. I just wanted to say don't wash your hands for a while after you spray tan or you will have lines on your wrists.
Yes, when I had spray tan somebody actually applied it for me, and they made sure to get in all the cracks and crevices, lol, that I wanted. If its a machine, you'll want to adjust yourself to get sprayed in the certain area.

Does anyone know where i can get a really cheap pop up spray tanning booth from for under $100 dollars?

Please Help :)Does anyone know where i can get a really cheap pop up spray tanning booth from for under $100 dollars?
SunFx has a pop-up spray tanning booth. I received mine when I purchased my pro system. It came with the kit but I'm sure you could probably purchase separately. They also offer an actual ';booth'; but I don't know what it costs. My guess is it's way more than $100.

  • Do spray on fake tans cover scars and blemishes and make your skin look perfect?

No, but what they can do is minimize the look of redness from blemishes. As your skin gets a little darker it will be closer to the blemish color and it will become a little less noticable. Also sometimes regular tanning can dry your skin just a little which can help dry up some of those pesky blemishes; but unfortunately it is a temporary fix. It will not work as a long term treatment. Good luck!Do spray on fake tans cover scars and blemishes and make your skin look perfect?
Absolutely not. In fact, if you do have any blemishes or anything of that sort it will make it look worse.Do spray on fake tans cover scars and blemishes and make your skin look perfect?
Well, I buy this thing called ';Spray-On Legs'; which is sort of like spray-on leg concealer--you can wear this instead of panty hose to make your legs look perfect.

As for applying it to the rest of your body--you don't really mention where you want the coverage--I wouldn't recommend it.

Please don't use spray on tans... they are ALWAYS orange. Being from Miami, we can always spot the tourists because they are the people who are bright orange.

    Good luck. :D
TO SOME EXTENT. NOT REALLY. MIGHT BLURR THEM

Nope. It is a lot like regular tanning. Only make-up will conceal blemishes and scars.

Spray on Tanning for special events?

Where can I get this professionally done and how much does it cost? Have you had it done? Pros and cons?Spray on Tanning for special events?
Almost all tanning salons now offer spray on tanning. It is typically between 25-30 dollars, however they may offer specials. The color looks decent. And it is clearly so much better for your skin than actual tanning. However, it doesn't smell great, and if you sweat at all the color with come off onto your clothing. Also, if you aren't very careful to put the barrier cream on your dry body parts (fingers, feet, knees) it will be very orangey there. Good luck!Spray on Tanning for special events?
I'm not sure where or how much, as we live in different countries, but I find professional spray tans look more natural and give you better coverage. make sure to exfoliate beforehand. if you shave you can do it 24hours before, if you wax (or anything else that rips out hair) at least 48hours before. make sure you get it like a day or 2 before the event so it has time to set, or whatever and make sure you moisturise a lot!
If your event is say, on a saturday, get it done on the Wednesday and don't shower til Friday morning. Sounds gross I know, but it helps! Lots of moisteriser and test it out prior cos you don't wanna be disappointed.

Does spray tans really turn you orange and do they evan last if they do how long?

not all of them. i use fake bake which costs 拢25 if you want to put it on urself or 拢20 if you want to get it sprayed on by a professional. if you get it sprayed on it wont last very long as it washes off within a couple of days and it comes off in stages so it doesnt look very nice but if you buy the bottle which u put on urself u can keep reapplying it when it starts to ware off.. but i would only recommend the spray tan for a party or something. :)x

Does Jergens have a spray tanner?

Or do they only have a lotion? if not what are some good spray tanners i can buy at a drugstore.Does Jergens have a spray tanner?
Neutrogena Sunless Tanning Spray is the best bet for spray tanning products. It gives a beautiful, ';orange';less, back from the beach tan. But before you head to the spray tanners, a little piece of advice. Even though spray tan is the new craze in tanning, lotions tend to work more efficiently. This is because spray tanners, if not done right, it can go very wrong. With a lotion, its easy to feel where you have rubbed. With spray tan, different amounts of the product can be spread all over, resulting in an uneven skin tone. Make sure you exfoliate before the first application. For lotion, I use Jergens, but a lot of my friends use Dove and Coppertone. To get rid of those yucky orange palms, after applying the lotion, wash your hands thoroughly with water and vinegar (apple cider vinegar works too) or scrub your palms with a cottonball's worth of nail polish remover. Sunless tanning is definitely okay, just make sure you pick the right product!

Hope this helps and Good Luck!Does Jergens have a spray tanner?
Haven't seen a spray, but they have one in a tube, it's lotion and my opinion is that it is good.
i think only lotion. try the airbrush legs kind. it works really well.

What is the best self tanner brand? And which is better spray or cream?

I like Jergens natural glow. It's a lotion so you have to get used to putting it on, but I like that it also moisturizes your skin. Also you can get different shades and apply darker ones to different parts of your body so it looks like your tan is more natural. What is the best self tanner brand? And which is better spray or cream?
Preferably, I like Neutrogena micro-mist sunless tan spray. To apply it evenly, just spray a good length away from where you are trying to apply it. I was spraying it too close at first and it got all streaky and had different shades on different parts of my arms. Didn't look so good! But when I started spraying it farther away, it evened out. (Hint: Its called micro-MIST, so it should be applied to your body like a mist!) When I first bought and tried it, it turned white (like spray-on sunscreen) and started to run everywhere because it was way to close to my arm! But I figured it out. I haven't had too much experience with different tanning solutions, but I would have to say the spray-on stuff works better! (It also doesn't take as long to dry!) Plus the Neutrogena micro-mist starts to work in 2-4 hours! I love it!

Plus I tend to tan fairly easily, so I stick with nature's method.
they are quick..but tanning looks more natural and lasts longer

is it ok for a boy to get a spray tan???

or would it be obvious and look really stupid.

Only gay men, male strippers, body builders, and tv hosts/news anchors are allowed to get spray-tanned...and even then there is just soemthing not right about it...Girls can you tell me about spray tans?
Why would it matter if a guy takes care of his skin instead of looking old by 25? A really good one won't be obvious and you could say you got tanned normally if it's embarrassing. If you get a bad ones and have lines because it wasn't done right then ya it'd be obvious but won't be stupid looking because it's the person who did its fault. Spray tans are totally better than laying in the sun :D
Hahah there was this boy, who on the day before the first day of school got a spray tan, and then wore a white shirt, it was hot and he sweat and you could see it on the shirt, he looked orange and ugly, :(

Go for it hun, there is NOTHING wrong with a guy having a spray tan. Just make sure you dont go out till the next day AFTER you shower as it takes about 12 to develop properly. I get mine usually after 6pm and im very fake orange bronze colour, i shower in morning and look great! Im not a fan of FakeBake, i use Tan Truth or Sun Labs.

    Happy tanning hun.xx
well i personally don't like the spray tan look.

it looks kinda orangey and fake.

though i guess it depends on what kind of skin colour you have already, 'cause i know that if you have pale skin, you'll most likely go orange.

i don't think it matters for a boy to get a spray tan,

    but i wouldn't like it.
Don't spray tan. If you want a tan use lotions, and if you want one that lasts just go tanning.

Is Spray tanning better than bed tanning?

i need a tan before march 27th.. so it needs to be quick and fairly cheap. i have very fair skin and have never tanned before. the only tan part on me is my arms, legs, and face. so which is quicker and cheaper? bed or spray tanning? Thanks Guys! your really a big help.Is Spray tanning better than bed tanning?
    Spray Tan is definitely cheaper

%26amp; Bed tanning does lead to cancer

But, Spray tanning does, most of the time, make you look orange, and it won't go away for a week or two.

And also, since you said you have fair skin, you have a higher risk of getting cancer.

    Hope i could help

:]Is Spray tanning better than bed tanning?
spray tanning has a less chance of causing cancer than bed tanning, and im guessing spray tanning is less expensive
YES! spray tanning cause no damage to your skin, while tanning beds lead to skin cancer

First of all, no one is jealous of you, or blondes for that matter. Get a grip!

No because on TV, we always see images of blondes acting dumb, so people stereotype them.
My late wife was blonde, had 38 C boobs, a very good salary and her father had no money to speak of. I never assumed any of the things you mentioned.

    What's the best tanning lotion/spray you've used?

One that doesn't turn you orangeWhat's the best tanning lotion/spray you've used?
I've been trying spray tanners recently so I don't have to wear gloves to apply lotion. DON'T buy Neutrogena spray, the spray nozzle clogs up EVERY time. I had sent several back to the store, although I love all other Neutrogena products.

I just bought L'Oreal Sublime Bronze Streak-Free in Medium (I am a very pale redhead) and it's FANTASTIC.

I use it all over my body - just one application was enough to brown my pasty white legs.

It sprays at any angle and doesn't clog and is a perfect brown.

Get it before SUNDAY June 17th from WALGREENS and it's buy one get one free - it's $9.99. Hope they have this deal in your area. What's the best tanning lotion/spray you've used?
Get real. This life is too short to spend time and money tanning. Read a book. Grow up.
Hello, I'm a Tanning Lotion Distributor in Ontario Canada. If your lotion is turning you orange, you are using a lotion with too much bronzer and you could quite possibly be applying too much lotion before tanning. My favourite lotion manufacturer is Supre, they are located in Texas. Contact any tanning salon and ask if they have that lotion line you will find they are excellent. Good Luck
I live in a small town but a while back we used to carry Neutrogena’s tanning FOAM… This is a much better solution than they’re spray or “mist” because the nozzle can sometimes get clogged and spray unevenly but I would, by far, have to recommend their foam if it’s still in production… This is an awesome way to make it looked like you worked on your tan for a good week in one use, if applied correctly!!

The lotions take too long and not much stands up against Neutrogena’s products. Pick one or two shades (tops) darker than your normal skin tone this way you tan and aren’t looking like a pumpkin :) They have improved the tone/glow process over the years. It’s just a matter of evening out the substance and giving it at least 4hrs to dry…

This in combination with Australian Gold and a good 15-20min under the fake-n-bake every other day or so is a beautiful combination!

FYI – Life is never too short to look good, so don’t listen to Kent… Heh’, BOOKS, give me a break!!

    Good luck!
Coppertone sunless tanner. It gives you a nice BROWN tan.
