Yes it can. If you're doing mystic tan or something like that, be sure to use the barrier cream they provide on your fingernails, toenails, and any other places you don't want tan. Then just wipe it off after you're done tanning.
If you're doing this at home, put some vaseline or something similar on your nails, so that the tanning stuff won't get directly on your nail. If it gets under your nails, try using some nail polish on a Q-tip to remove it as soon as you are finished with the tanning stuff, to prevent staining.Can spray tanning stain your nails?
