Last night I was at Target and I saw some spray-on tan in a can. It didn't show how dark it would be, so I decided to spray a little on my leg from the knee-down to see how dark it would be. It didn't show up at all, so I read the back of the can and it says that it may take 12 hours for the color to develop. Great... so I went home and took a shower and SCRUBBED my legs. I'm bummin' it today, so I just now got to take a shower and when I took off my PJ pants... my gracious. My legs look freakish. They have brown streaks on them! I look like I have vitaligo or something (b/c my skin is naturally pale and now it's dark and light patches). Is there a way to get it off? It said it could last up to a week. But I washed it off within an hour.HELP me get rid of spray on tan!!!?
Exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate! I had this exact same problem, so I bought an organic coarse salt scrub (only use it on your body) and scrubbed away. Unfortunately, only exfoliating and time will help you out... Be glad you didn't spray your face :-)HELP me get rid of spray on tan!!!?
When my fake tan goes that horrible way after a few days,i run a hot bath, get my exfoliating gloves, with some shower gel and scrub scrub scrub! Makes your skin a bit red raw,but always works for me! You mite have to go at it for quite a while tho!! Good luck!!
Use LEMON JUICE!!!!

Spray-on tans will fade on their own after about a week. But to make it come off a bit faster, the only thing you can do is use a good exfoliating brush on your legs. Don't scrub so hard that you irritate the skin, of course.
If you ever want to try a spray on tan again, test it in a small area of your body to make sure it doesn't turn your skin too dark. This is really important if you have light skin. Then, exfoliate your skin so the cream will go on smoothly. ( More info on exfoliating is at http://www.healthyu-skin.org/dry_skin_ex鈥?/a> ) It's really tough to apply the cream yourself evenly, especially on your legs, so you may be better off at a professional salon that does mist on tans. A spa that does airbrush tanning should use safety goggles and nose guards. You should also stress that you don't want to get too dark.
