i was just wondering is it better than bed tanning? how much does it cost? how long does it take? how Much darker can it make you?

is it bad for you at all? how often do you have to get it done to keep your tan up? does it look real? is it weird? how is it done? etc........I've heard about this tan that is spray-on but that u get done at a salon. can u explain what it is?
Hi,

I regularly get spray tans from Body Bronze in Camberwell - at BB a technician sprays you.

In my experience, DO NOT get a spray tan from a booth. It does not get between fingers/toes etc and unless you do the positions they describe perfectly (you change positions every 6 seconds) it can miss a lot of places and the colour can be very streaky. It is not that the formula is bad, it is just that it's a straight wall spraying at you, not a human's eye spraying you.

At first I had issues stripping down to my undies but they are so professional and make you feel so comfortable. I don't know about other BB's, but in camberwell they have all been trained to 1) change the intensity of colour in the gun and 2) assess how many sprays you need in the session.

I am blonde with fair skin, so I get 2 sprays in the session (every part of my body sprayed twice) on a fairly low setting. I learnt this by it being slightly too dark a couple of times with the gun intensity too high, but now it turns out perfectly.

How long it lasts depends on your lifestyle - I go to the gym every day (sweating) and swim laps regularly (chlorine) which doesn't help it, but you should moisturise daily to extend the length it lasts, and DEFINITELY exfoliate your whole body before you go (not just that morning, but for a good few days before hand) so that it is not being sprayed on dead skin that will quickly fall off.

I can't remember the cost because I buy packs of 10 and the guy is so nice he always gives me discounts for being a good customer, if you have that much money upfront it is a good way to save money (I think the last one cost me like $300 or something for 10 sessions? maybe $310) which is great value considering they are usually $45 ish per session.

Sorry to ramble on but it is a good idea to find out every thing you can before you try places so you don't turn out orange, and because it isn't cheap. I've heard about this tan that is spray-on but that u get done at a salon. can u explain what it is?
There are a few different methods..

A) You can strip down to your underwear %26amp; a technician will spray you with a gun or B) You can go into a spray booth where you will be naked or semi dressed (your choice) %26amp; you will be instructed to move your body in different positions every 10 seconds or so.

Option A works much better in my opinion, I have it done every few weeks %26amp; it lasts up to 16 days with the use of tan extender (which you can buy from most pharmacies now) or your regular moisturiser, Make sure you exfoliate well %26amp; remove any hair you need to before your appointment.

Both options cost between $25 - $45

I have never looked orange after a professional spray tan, But have had some horrible disasters doing it myself.. lol.
It's just like a sunless tanner you buy at a store only better quality. You undress and step in the booth, press the button, it sprays you, you turn around, it sprays you again, you get out, wipe off the extra, get dressed and go. It looks ok on some people but it turns orange on some as well. It just depends on how your body chemistry reacts with the tanner. It's not bad for you like tanning beds are. The more you get it done the deeper and darker the tan is. It doesn't show right away, it takes a few hours for it to show. The whole spraying process take about 30-45 seconds in the booth. It is kind of expensive to get it done. You will end up paying $15-30 per session. Some tanning salons have a special membership that you pay like $30 a month and then only like $5-10 a session. You could go about once a week and it will start to build and get darker. Moisturizing real well through out the week will help keep the color. Good Luck.
I don't know much about it but I know that most tanning salons have spray tan that they do for you. In my opinion spray on tans make people look orange and it's noticable that it's fake... but yeah. I'd imagine it's safer for your skin than tanning beds cuz tanning can cause cancer... But anyways, I don't know anything else, I'm sure it varies on price depending where you go, just call whatever tanning salon you go to or plan on going to, and ask them if it's available there and how much it costs.
all fake tanning makes you look orange either stay pale or risk skin cancer by laying out in the sun
