Hey, im 16 and im a white and its summer :/. I'd like more of a tan but i heard how sunning tans are bad.. and even tanning out in the sun. So i was wanting to know what a good lotion is to get that will tan me over time, or even one that is really good for a fake tan. If you can please explain to me how to use it so i dont make it look bad if you can! thanks :)Spray on tan for guy!?
You should try Mystic tan....that's a spray tan at a tanning salon. It's GREAT and lasts about a week.
If you prefer to try a lotion try one for light to medium skin (so you don't go from white to dark overnight) and in us REALLY light people it has a tendancy to look ';fake';
Exfoliate your skin (buy a loofah at any store, they are very inexpensive) and use it in the shower (instead of a wash cloth) to remove the dead skin from your body so it doesn't look flaky with a tan. Before you apply the tanning lotion APPLY regular lotion around your face, elbows, knees, and your feet (ankles too) so when you rub on your new tan these places don't absorb more tan and look obvious.
Wait until your tanning lotion is dry before you get dressed, try standing in front of a fan (that's what I do).
I'm sure any of the tanning lotions are pretty good, I really like Banana Boat and Jergins Build a tan.
I hope you find this helpful AND I think you are super smart about being sun and tanning bed conscious (you will thank yourself later too)!!!!Spray on tan for guy!?
Don't use any of those fake tan lotions or sprays that you can buy at the drug store. They will give you more of an orange look than a tanned look. If you want a spray-on tan that looks really natural go to a tanning salon or health spa and have it professionally done.
By the way, tanning naturally in the sun isn't necessarily bad, as long as you don't do it too often. Use a tanning lotion like Hawaiian Tropic. They make some really good products that block out UVA and UVB rays but will still allow you to get a tan. The secret is to lay out in the sun only for a couple hours each time---no more.
I've been trying spray tanners recently. DON'T buy Neutrogena spray, the spray nozzle clogs up EVERY time. I had sent several back to the store, although I love all other Neutrogena products.
I just bought L'Oreal Sublime Bronze Streak-Free in Medium (I am a very pale redhead) and it's FANTASTIC.
I use it all over my body - just one application was enough to brown my pasty white legs.
It sprays at any angle and doesn't clog and is a perfect brown.
Get it before SUNDAY June 17th from WALGREENS and it's buy one get one free - it's $9.99. Hope they have this deal in your area.
Look there is nothing gay about looking after your skin, you only get one chance so you may as well start looking after it while you're young. Get yourself one of those ';summer skin'; body lotions, they have a small amount of tanning agent in them and they gradually build a nice light tan, they just take the edge off the winter white. No one will know unless you tell them. One thing I would say is you MUST exfoliate your skin very well, either with a body scrub or a loofah type thing, and rub it in really well, especially around ankles, knees and elbows, and don't forget your feet as well!!
sure dont tell em' ya did
