I asked a question yesterday about how to look after a spray on tan and was absolutely horrified at the people telling me to lie on a sunbed instead.
As an Australian I am very aware of the importance on skin protection and the risks of melanoma so I find it hard to believe that people would recommend these killers.
In Australia there are restrictions on age and the length of time that may be spent on UV beds. People using tanning beds also have to be warned of the risks of using them. Is this the case where you live???

The chemicals in the spray tan that gets plastered all over your body is probably just as cancer-enhancing as the UV rays! It's scientifically safer though, and I've never heard of anyone dying from a spray tan. Definitely safer - and cheaper :o)Sun bed vs spray on tan?
I agree with you. I have red hair and pale skin, so I KNOW how dangerous tanning beds can be. I love to get spray tans when I feel the need for a tan. There's nothing deadly about them - its all fake! I would definitely recommend to anyone to do that rather than lying in a tanning bed or even laying out in the sun to bake.
yes, i am from the usa and its the same way here, maximum time in the bed may be no longer than 20 minutes. and you also have to be of a certain age as well. They probably suggested this to you because the spray tan can make you appear orange! You decided whats best for you, hope i helped.
